Howdy all!!!
We just finished the Winter 2011 Indoor season with almost 30 women's and coed teams playing at the old College of Santa Fe gym with some games at the Genoveva Chavez center. Games were played on Saturdays and Sundays with great competition and participation. It was nice to see some new teams and faces this year, as well as the chance for some of the local high school players to have an opportunity to play during the winter.
Unfortunately we wwere not able to have any mens leagues this year, e.g. Men's Open A and B, Over-30 and Over-40 because of limited time, as well as the unavailability of space to play. Even though our community is growing larger, the areas in which we can play decrease each year. We would like to send a large thank you to the Santa Fe University of Art and Design (formerly the College of Santa Fe) for letting us play in the Driscoll Fitness Center this past season.
With the weather warming up, it is time to turn our attention to playing outdoor!!!
Hubert has the latest information on pick-up games around the city and our own outdoor rec league, the Santa Fe Adult Soccer League is about to start some leagues in April and others later in the summer, so please check out their webpage as well. We hope to restart our Over-30 league and the Over-40 league is going to try a draft type selection basis for teams this year, rather than having officially formed teams in order to create more parity. Let's hope the experiment works, as it should make the individual teams much more competitive than in years past. The Over-50 league will also be starting soon (team registration is needed by March 31, 2011), so if interested in playing, get those teams ready!!!

mornings - Over-40
Monday evenings - Coed B
Tuesday evenings - Over-30
Wednesday evenings - Coed B
Thursday evenings - Over 50
