PETER H. TAG, Senior Consultant

Peter is the founder and director of Horizon Systems Modeling, LLC. He develops graphically-oriented computer simulation models to provide enterprises with practical decision-support tools for managing system complexity in manufacturing, customer service and other environments. Peter uses a graphical recursive pattern language to map real-world system relationships into a customized multi-level modeling environment where users can visualize fundamental system structures and analyze their effects on performance.

Before founding Horizon Systems Modeling, Peter worked for a number of different organizations and companies including the Operations/Analytics Divison at the Center for Adaptive Systems Applications (CASA, Inc.), the Technology Modeling and Analysis and the Network Engineering groups at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Digital Equipment Corporation, Bankers Trust, Eberline Instruments, the Princeton Energy Group (a solar design and energy analysis company in Princeton, NJ) and Systems and Programming International (a software applications company in Englewood, NJ). For the past several years, Peter has focused his energy on the development and application of enterprise simulation models. He has used these models to provide businesses with an environment to design and assess the effectiveness of strategies, policies, procedures, operational configurations and organizational structures. Some of the enterprise models Peter has developed during the last 5 years include:

Peter received a B.S. in geological sciences with a minor in philosophy in 1977 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and an M.S. in geophysics with a minor in theoretical and applied mechanics in 1979 from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
