JOHN W ELLING, Senior Advisor

John W. Elling received his doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 1991 and his MBA from the University of New Mexico in 1996. Dr. Elling has significant expertise in automated data processing that uses chemometrics and pattern recognition techniques, optimization techniques, and hybrid artificial intelligence. He also developed the ASTM E1989-98 laboratory equipment control interface specifications. He is the cofounder of Bioreason. Bioreason is developing new information technology to turn this data into knowledge and apply this knowledge to the drug discovery process. Bioreason's focus is to provide our pharmaceutical partners with customized information technology and solutions to rapidly generate knowledge in lead identification and lead optimization. To start Bioreason, he left a position as a Technical Staff Member at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
