As a member, you support Renesan's purposes:
You must be a member to register for courses and trips. You must be a member to register for courses and trips. If you have not paid dues since April 1, 2011, your dues for the spring semester are $12. Please call the office if you are not sure whether you owe now.
If you pay dues that you do not owe, you will receive a credit voucher. There is no membership card and Renesan does not confirm registrations. You will be notified only if you do not get into a class or trip you requested.
You may register for courses and trips by mailing the enclosed form with payment or by attending the Spring Kickoff on January 10 (see the home). Or, you may download print the registration form on our website (see the Forms menu) and mail it with payment. Payment is by check or cash only.
Limited Enrollment Courses & Trips: Some courses and trips have enrollment limits. In order to give everyone a fair opportunity to enroll, all registration forms for these courses or trips received on, or before, January 10 will be grouped together for a lottery drawing. Any registrations received after January 10 will be processed by postmark or drop-off date. If your registration for one of these courses or trips is processed after it is full, you will be called and asked if you wish to be on the wait list, to receive a credit voucher or refund, or to apply the amount to an alternate course or trip.

Location: All classes meet during the day in the classrooms of St. John's United Methodist Church, unless otherwise noted in the course description, and are scheduled for two hours. Most, but not all courses meet weekly, Monday through Thursday, and vary in the number of sessions. The instructors and lecturers are all highly qualified and experienced.
Parking: There is extensive parking space along both Old Pecos Trail and Cordova Road. Please do not park in the spaces marked for Staff
or Guests
. The handicapped parking spaces are in front of the church. Whenever there is a course or lecture in the Gathering Room, we recommend you park in the numerous spaces off of Cordova Road and ascend the side stairs.
Course fees are $7 per session and $9 per session for courses limited to 20 or fewer students. Some courses require an additional charge for required readings.
Trip fees vary and appear in the description for each trip.
Lectures are open to non-members as well as members. The fee per lecture is paid at the door, $7 for members or $10 for non-members (unless you have purchased the Lecture Series).
Lecture Series Subscription: For Members Only
Members interested in attending multiple lectures may subscribe in advance to the entire series of 12 lectures for only $48. Simply fill in $48 where designated on the Renesan Registration Form
and and include the amount in your total fees.
Each time you attend a lecture just give your name to the volunteers at the door and they will check it off on their list of Lecture Series Subscribers. No need to get out your money, wait for change, and sign your name on the attendees list. What could be simpler?
Course withdrawal before or after classes start: A full refund or credit will be given if members withdraw 15 days or earlier from a class. If withdrawal is 8-14 days before class begins, the Registrar will issue a credit voucher or refund for the amount paid minus an $8 processing fee. If members withdraw 7 days or less before class begins, credit vouchers or refunds will be issued minus a $15 processing fee. Refunds will not be made after the start of classes. No partial refunds will be given to those who sign up late and miss the first class(es).
Trip withdrawal: A full refund or credit will be given if members withdraw 15 days or earlier from a trip. Members who withdraw from a trip 8-14 days before the trip takes place will be credited for 50% of the cost of the trip. No refund or credit will be given to members who withdraw seven days or less before the trip takes place. If, however, Renesan can fill the places, members will then receive full credit or a refund.
If Renesan cancels a course: Credit vouchers or refunds will be issued.
Renesan classes and lectures will be canceled whenever St. John's United Methodist church decides not to open due to snow or ice conditions. Similarly, if the church decides to close early due to inclement weather, any Renesan classes in progress or scheduled for later in the day will be canceled. If the church announces a two-hour delay before opening, Renesan's 10AM classes will start at 10:30 and end at 12:30; afternoon classes will start as scheduled.
If possible, make-up sessions will be scheduled for canceled classes and lectures. No fee adjustment will be made for canceled classes or lectures that can’t be rescheduled.
How To Determine When St. John's United Methodist Church Closes or Delays Opening:
An enrolled member's guest may attend, once during a semester, a class session of a course that consists of three or more sessions at no charge. The guest may not be a current Renesan member. If the same guest attends more than one session, payment of the membership fee plus the full course fee will be required. Please contact the Renesan office in advance to verify the course has not reached its maximum limit and to provide the name of your guest.
