Time Perspective and Motivation. (2006) ABSTRACT: Future time perspective is an individual, group or societal view of possible psychological futures. It is a somewhat stable personality trait that differentially influences behavior in the “now.” This article highlights three instruments that measure different aspects of future time perspective and reviews additional articles that compare future time perspective with other measures of motivation and achievement. Finally, the aspect of altering an individual’s time perspective is presented and speculation regarding how educators may utilize that is presented.

Vocational Development: Keys to building a career. (2005) ABSTRACT: This paper looks at assumptions regarding the purpose of secondary education and how it relates to preparing students for vocational life. Universal components of vocational education are highlighted in the forms of key skills and competencies. The inclusion of work-related experience, and lifelong learning is suggested, and the importance of meaningful choice as a key component in all aspects of learning is presented.

Human Emotional Development (2003) ABSTRACT: This paper explores the development of emotion from birth to adulthood. Relationships regarding the emergence of emotional responses & behaviors are compared to other aspects of cognitive development, and finally, some speculations of application and further investigation are considered.

Issues Involved in the Structure and Development of Intellectual Capital (1998) ABSTRACT: This paper contains a survey of issues concerning the structure and development of intellectual capital systems and electronic performance support systems. Some issues involve human incentives and motivations, while others are of a technical nature regarding the structure of information capture and retrieval. Additionally, several terms and concepts used in intellectual capital systems are defined and discussed.
