Alternative Scenarios

The Global Scenario Group is a project launched in 1995 by the
Stockholm Environmental Institute to examine the transition to global sustainability.
They have proposed six scenarios. Publications include
Great Transition: The Promise and Lure of the Times Ahead (PDF 922 KB) plus two others
describing less positive scenarios. John Bellamy Foster provides
an interesting review of Great Transition in the October 2005
