Windows NT 4.0

Windows NT comes with all the components needed to access the Internet. If you are lacking any dial-up elements, NT will request your NT CD as needed along the way. If you loaded a Service Pack (Service Pack 3 or later), then you will need the software for that as well.

******************IMPORTANT******************

If you loaded a Service Pack some time in the past you MUST reload it NOW and reboot your system. Otherwise, continue on.

Connecting

From your Desktop, double click on the shortcut that you created to access Cyber Mesa (for example, CyberMesa.rnk). The Connect To… box will appear. Enter your username (use all lower case) and your password (which is case-sensitive). The Domain box MUST be blank, so if there is an entry, please delete it. Click on OK. Your modem will begin to dial, and you will see a small status box in the center of the screen.

If the connection is successful, the status box will disappear. You can ensure that you are connected by checking on the right side of the Task bar: a very small icon of a telephone appears to indicate that you are indeed connected. To check the status of your connection, or to disconnect, double click on the telephone icon.

If you encounter difficulties, by all means call our Tech Support.
